Intermediate Yoga 10:30am-11:30am
Gentle Yoga Designed for all bodies and all levels including options for modifications, this class is suitable for beginners. The instructor offers more detailed physical descriptions of poses while moving through slowly and gently, correcting and assisting as needed. Students are reminded to honor their bodies and treat themselves with compassion, while practicing using the breath to come into the present moment. The class is ideal for developing a state of peacefulness and relieving stress. Offered as a community class, a minimum $5.00 donation is suggested.
Intermediate Yoga This level lies in between our Gentle Yoga and Power Yoga practice in terms of pace and physical strength. This class is recommended for yoga practitioners who have some experience with Yoga and who wish to move forward exploring and developing their body’s strength, flexibility, and balance.
Power Yoga This class is a fitness based vinyasa practice designed to build internal heat, increased stamina, strength, and flexibility, as well as stress reduction. The instructor guides students through poses more quickly, flowing with the breath. This class is designed for students with some experience and an awareness of proper body alignment in the more common Yoga poses. This class is offered at a fee of $10.00.
